Slow Cooker Asian Beef & Broccoli

Ingredients
- 1 kg beef rump steak sliced thinly
- 1 brown onion chopped
- 4 cm ginger piece, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin
- 1/4 kecap manis
- 1 tablespoon corn flour mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 350 ml chicken stock
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 400 g canned whole tomatoes drained
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
Instructions
- To the slow cooker: add onion, beef, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, hoisin and kecap manis.
- Combine cornflour and water, then add it to the slow cooker along with the chicken stock. This will help thicken the sauce as it cooks.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli and canned baby corn to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Before serving, sprinkle sesame seeds over the dish and give it a final stir.
