Slow Cooker Asian Beef & Broccoli

- 1 kg beef rump steak thinly sliced
- 1 brown onion chopped
- 4 cm ginger piece finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup kecap manis
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 2 tablespoons water
- 350 ml chicken stock
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 400 g canned baby corn drained
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
To the slow cooker, add the beef, onion, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, hoisin and kecap manis.

Combine the cornflour and water, then add it to the slow cooker, along with the chicken stock. This will help thicken the sauce as it cooks.
1 tablespoon cornflour, 2 tablespoons water, 350 ml chicken stock
Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli and canned baby corn to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
2 cups broccoli florets, 400 g canned baby corn
Before serving, give everything a final stir and sprinkle the sesame seeds over.
