Pasta Bake

The easiest pasta bake ever! An absolute winter warming dish, super easy and incredibly delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 600 g curly fettuccini
  • 1 jar pasta sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes optional
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • sea salt & cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 6 teaspoons butter
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese grated, plus extra for topping
  • 220 g bocconcini cheese or buffalo mozzarella, torn into pieces
  • basil leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C conventional (160°C fan-forced).
  • Place all the ingredients, except the bocconcini, extra parmesan and basil, in a large casserole dish. Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
    600 g curly fettuccini, 1 jar pasta sauce, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 cup red wine, 2 1/4 cups water, 6 teaspoons butter, 1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese, 220 g bocconcini cheese
  • Remove the foil, add the bocconcini or mozzarella and extra parmesan to the dish. Return to the oven for 10–15 minutes.
    1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese, 220 g bocconcini cheese
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil and season some more. Enjoy!
