Wet Ingredients

  • 3 bananas mashed with a fork or potato masher
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups wholemeal flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup flaxseed meal
  • 6 tablespoons Nutella

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C conventional (160°C fan-forced). Line a loaf tin with baking paper so that it comes up the sides of the tin.
  • Place all the wet ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Then add the dry ingredients and fold them through with a spatula.
  • Pour half the batter into the tin and pat it down with a spatula. Dollop in half the Nutella and swirl it around with a fork. Top with the remaining batter and Nutella, again swirling with a fork.
